Post-doc positions at Colorado State

Two post-doctoral Research Associate positions in wheat genetics are available
at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. The positions are as follows:

1. Post-doctoral Research Associate. Responsibilities include 
fine-mapping of genes for resistance to Russian wheat aphid in wheat, 
and development and mapping of SSR and SNP markers for wheat. 
Required qualifications are a Ph.D. in genetics, plant breeding, or 
related field, experience with molecular techniques and mapping, and 
excellent theoretical understanding of mapping software programs. 
Computational and bioinformatic skills are preferable. Excellent 
written and oral English communication skills are expected. To apply,

2. Post-doctoral Research Associate with responsibilities for 
quantitative trait locus (QTL) mapping of heat and drought tolerance 
traits in wheat, and evaluation of experimental transgenic wheat 
lines for abiotic stress tolerance. Required qualifications are a 
Ph.D. in genetics, plant breeding, or related field, and demonstrated 
expertise with a variety of molecular marker techniques. Experience 
with linkage mapping and QTL detection software, HPLC analysis, and 
stress tolerance evaluations is desirable. Excellent computer and

Both positions are available beginning Oct. 1. For full

position is filled. The salary range is $27-30k plus fringe benefits.
