I'm glad you knew about this, and thanks for advertising it further.

There are also some other mailgroups for other crops -- maize, rice, etc.
For maize it's maize at net.bio.net.  For rice, rice-e-net at chanko.lab.nig.ac.jp.
Also the Gramene mailgroup, gramene at gramene.org.
