The next New England Arabidopsis Meeting will take place the 2nd of
February 2005 at the McGovern Auditorium of the Whitehead Institute,
MIT (http://www.wi.mit.edu/). Pizza and drinks starting at 5:40 p.m.;
Talks starting at 6 p.m. I hope that many of you will be able to come
for it will be a very interesting meeting.
The speakers will be:
Dr Brian Waters (Post-Doc in Dr Walker's Lab. Biology Department, Umass
Amherst). Title: "Roles of the Arabidopsis YSL (Yellow-Stripe
Like)family of metal transporters in nutrient translocation and
reproduction"
Dr Om Parkash (Assistant Professor, Department of Plant and Soil
Sciences, Umass Amherst). Title: "Exploring Strategies for
Phytoremediation of Arsenic in Arabidopsis"
Dr Georg Jander (Adjunct Assistant Professor, Department of Plant
Biology, Cornell University). Title: "Arabidopsis-aphid interactions".
