[Maize] Cob or rachis ultrastructe

I am interested in looking at the ultrastructure of the vascular 
system in the developing cob by either TEM or SEM.  I have been 
searching for papers,  but I haven't been too successful.  Has anyone 
done this,  or know of papers about it.
