Web Developer/Information Technology Specialist. The USDA-
Agricultural Research Service, Corn Insects and Crop Genetics Research
Unit, Ames, Iowa (ISU campus) is recruiting a Web Developer for the
MaizeGDB project (see http://www.maizegdb.org). The successful
applicant will have: 1) knowledge of biological data management
concepts and methods as well as server-side scripting languages such
as PHP and AJAX sufficient to assist users in data retrieval; 2)
knowledge of UNIX/LINUX operating systems, Apache configuration and
maintenance, XML, and programming with Oracle and/or MySQL database
management system; and 3) ability to write technical documents and
operational procedures. U.S. citizenship required. Salary
commensurate with experience ($51,734-$67,259). Refer to vacancy
