Open position: Maize Genome Annotation Postdoctoral Curator

Responsibilities: We are looking for a motivated postdoctoral researcher to
organize the maize community for genome annotation. Excellent communication
skills are imperative.
Duties include coordinating activities for the maize genome annotation
effort, recruiting community experts to oversee annotation of particular
gene families and chromosomal locations of their specific interest, training
researchers and students to use the yrGATE annotation tool, managing the
activation of community annotations for inclusion in the official annotation
releases, and carrying out novel analyses of the genome as interesting
questions emerge.
The position is for two years. Salary is competitive and commensurate with
experience.
