A reputable company urgently requires a Line Development Breeder with the
purpose of ensuring the development of improved maize inbred lines and
hybrids for the South African market. The position will be based in Gauteng,
South Africa.
Ideal candidate will have a PhD in plant breeding and experience in maize
breeding with a strong background in plant breeding, genetics, field plot
technique and statistical analysis, molecular biology and molecular marker
applications. Should have proven track record in a commercial corn breeding
program and strong knowledge of modern technical approaches to germplasm
