[Maize] MaizeGDB Tutorial Before Maize Meeting

Hi Maize Folks!  I am offering tutorials on MaizeGDB on March 15, 2012, just before the Maize Meeting officially starts.  Information on the Maize Meeting can be found here:  http://www.maizegdb.org/maize_meeting/2012/    Below is information about the tutorials- Hope to see you there!!

This year, MaizeGDB is offering "How to" tutorials immediately before the Maize Meeting.  Sign up to learn how to:

·      		Find new data at MaizeGDB (expression, diversity, metabolism);

·      		Use the new GBrowse2 Genome Browser, the new BLAST interface, and the new MaizeGDB web interface;

·      		Map your data to the genome sequence and view it on the    MaizeGDBGenome Browser;

·      		Use POPcorn searches of sequence indexed data;

·      		and MORE!  Ask your own specific questions too!

Tutorials will be offered from 2:30-3:30, 3:30-4:30 and 4:30-5:30 pm on Thursday, March 15, 2012. All topics can be discussed at all tutorials.  Please sign up by emailing Lisa Harper:  ligule from berkeley.edu.  Please indicate what time(s) you would like to come, and what areas you would like to learn about.

In addition, MaizeGDB staff will be available through the whole meeting to answer your questions and to hear your feedback on how we can do better.  If you would like to reserve a specific time to meet with MaizeGDB staff members directly, let Lisa know.
