Colleagues,
It is with great sadness that I relay the following announcement regarding the passing of our friend and colleague, Mary Alleman. Mary lost her second bout with cancer following two severe infections. At the end, she was surrounded by her children, siblings and mother. Duquesne University and the faculty and staff in the Department of Biological Sciences at Duquesne supported Mary and her family far above and beyond the call throughout this ordeal and I have every expectation that this personal, compassionate treatment will continue. In particular, both Mary's Dean and Department Chair have done and are doing their utmost to help Mary and her family.

Best Wishes,

Bill Eggleston
