This is the 3rd announcement for the Workshop on Genetics of Maize-Microbe
Interactions to be held at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, Saint
Louis, MO from Feb. 24th to 27th, 2013. This Workshop will begin with
reception at 5.00 PM on Feb. 24th and end at noon on Feb. 27th.
This will be the second meeting of scientists from public, government and
private sectors working in this field, following on from the 2011 workshop
held in Raleigh, NC. As before, several scientific and poster sessions are
planned. There will also be ample time for discussion during the workshop.
Poster sessions, facilitated group discussions and the social events will
allow many opportunities for exchange of ideas and information.
Drs. Guri Johal of Purdue University and Jeff Bennetzen of the University of
Georgia will deliver plenary lectures. In addition, a hands-on tutorial for
the MaizeGDB will be presented by Dr. Lisa Harper of the USAD-ARS Gene
Expression Center, CA.
The registration for this Workshop is now open. The early registration
deadline is Nov 1st and the abstract submission deadline and final
registration deadline is Jan 20th. Abstracts can be submitted for either an
oral or poster presentation. The abstracts not selected by the committee for
oral presentations will be offered poster slots.
