Summer Laser Capture Microdissection Workshop sponsored by NSF
When: June 11- 16, 2017
Where: Clemson University, half way between Atlanta GA & Charlotte NC on the edge of the Appalachians, the campus overlooks beautiful Lake Hartwell.
Who: a team of Clemson scientists will train graduate students, postdocs, or principal investigators
What: Laser Capture Microdissection for RNASeq, a technique to isolate individual cells from whole organisms after fixation and make RNA libraries from those cells. Instruction includes sample prep, capture, isolating RNA, making libraries and basic informatics with the sequenced libraries. Cost:free upon acceptance of your application. We have a number of grants available to cover travel, food and lodging for the week. Members of underrepresented groups and from Primarily Undergraduate Institutions are encouraged to apply.
