The original paper was Nature vol 171, pages 737-738 (1953). It was followed,
if memory serves me correctly, with two papers by Franklin and Wilkins
describing the X-ray data supporting the model.
A more through followup was Nature vol 171, pages 964-967 (1953) and the
definitive detailed paper for their model was Proc. Roy. Soc. A vol 223, pages
80-96 (1954).
