======The problem description:=============================
I do not know how to assemble oligomers of proteins that
are given in the PDB files as monomers. As one example, porcine
heart Lactate Dehydrogenase is a tetramer in the solution, and
resolved crystal structure is a tetramer but only one monomer
is entered in the PDB. The file name in the PDB is "pdb5ldh.ent".
How do I built a tetramer from that monomer? The cell size is
known, and the cell type is P32 2 1.
I suspect there should be some matrix symmetry operation
that will just transform the coordinates. That is probably not
something difficult to do since a number of oligomeric protein
PDB files have coordinates of only one monomer. My address is
given in the beginning of the letter.
With much appreciation
