Applicants are sought for a postdoctoral position starting early
in 1998 in the department of chemistry at the University of Toronto to
work on studies of charged protein and polypeptide structure. The
project
is concerned with modelling mixed classical and quantum mechanical
systems and calculating structural and dynamical properties through
Monte-Carlo and molecular dynamics simulations (see
http://www.chem.utoronto.edu/staff/JMS/schofield_j.html for more
information).
Experienced researchers with a background in theoretical chemical
physics, statistical physics or biophyics are encouraged to apply.
Experience with molecular modelling is desirable but not essential.
The position
is for one year, with a second year optional. Salary is negotiable.
Interested candidates should send a CV summarizing research
interests,
research experience and a list of publications plus three letters of
reference to the address below.
