Is anybody aware of a study correlating temperature factor (or other
metrics of local rigidity) to the position of the residue in a
secondary structure element?
Intuitively, one would assume residues in the center of helices or
beta structures to be much more confined than residues in structurally
undefined loops. I am looking for a more quantitative treatment but
could not find anything really relevant in the literature.
Maybe one of you structural people can point me in the right direction.
