CHAIR OF PARASITOLOGY

Applications are invited for a Chair of Animal Parasitology in the
above university. The University has agreed to fill this chair prior to
the retirement of Professor Donald L. Lee in 2-3 years time to ensure
continuity of the strong research reputation and teaching in
parasitology within the university. Applications from those with a
good international scientific reputation in molecular biology,
immunology, biochemistry, physiology or epidemiology of parasites
will be particularly welcome but applications from candidates
specialising in other aspects of parasitology will be considered
seriously. The post offers an important opportunity for research
within a university containing a well-developed supporting
infrastructure and considerable opportunity for interdisciplinary
activity within a community of more than 100 academic staff in the
federal school of biological sciences. A new building is to be built to
house the department next to other biological sciences departments
and the medical school and should be ready for occupation in the
summer of 1996.
