A good friend has been wrestling for some time now with what is evidently
a type of (unidentified) metazoan parasite in his system. Drug therapy
has so far been unsuccessful, as noted below. At this point he is
seeking more information to determine a reasonable course for further
treatment before proceeding.
Case data--
Symptoms of systemic toxemia (numerous; variable in degree)
Sensations of subdermal movement
Medications taken so far (none effective):
thiobenzenediazole; levamisole hydrochloride; pyrantel
pamoate; chloroquine; atabrine; prazequantel; niclosamide;
griseofulvin.
Strongyloides antibodies test: 2.8 (2.0 std)
Physican won't reveal the meaning of this test.
There is also some evidence that the organism is producing a
cyano/nitrile metabolic byproduct.
Any information, texts, etc. that could provide insight regarding
diagnostic techniques, therapeutic measures, facilities that
specialize in treatment of this type of disease, etc. will be much
appreciated, as his current physician has not been very helpful in
this regard.
