SSP XVII
The 17th Symposium of the Scandinavian Society for Parasitology will
take place at Jyvaskyla in the heart of the central lake district in
Finland between the 15th and 18th June 1995. The days of the actual
meeting will be Friday 16th and Saturday 17th June.
The meeting is being organised by Dr E. Tellervo Valtonen, who
has promised to introduce all participants to the wonders of the Finnish
flora and fauna. The Scandinavian meetings, the working language of which
is English, are always popular, with large numbers of non-Scandinavian
participants from other European countries, especially Great Britain,
and from North America. Socially it is always a success, being famed for
its wine, aquavit, vodka and song (etc)!
One major topic of the meeting will be 'Evolutionary ecology in
parasitology'; information on other topics will be available at a later
date.
