I am curious as to what the general view of parasitologists is to the plea
for consistency in naming parasite diseases and infections appearing in the
latest Parasitology Today (1993, vol 10 no 4 pp127-128). The Standardized
Nomenclature of Animal Parasitic Diseases (SNOAPAD) was originally published
in Veterinary Parasitology (1988) 29 (4), pp 299-326, and represents the
proposal of an expert committee appointed by the Executive Committee of the
World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology.
