International Conference:
Novel Approaches to the Control of Helminth Parasites of Livestock
19th - 21 April 1995, Armidale, NSW, Australia
The University of New England, CSIRO and University Partnerships are
organising an international conference in Armidale on "Novel approaches to
the Control of Helminth Parasites of Livestock". The goal of the
conference will be to identify the most promising methods of parasite
control and facilitate their adoption by livestock industries. There will
be four major themes to the conference: 1. Immunological approaches, 2.
Breeding for helminth resistance, 3. Novel targets for biological control
agents and chemicals and 4. Grazing management. Key researchers in each
of these fields have been invited to present papers. Contributed papers on
these topics will be accepted as either oral or poster presentations. The
invited papers to the conference will be published as a special issue of
the International Journal for Parasitology. Registration will be A$300.00
(A$150.00 for students).
