As is well known, Necator americanus induces local traumatic bleeding in the
gut of the infected individual which is enhanced by the anti-coagulants they
produce. What I would like to know is if there are any parasitic
nematodes that take advantage of this unfortunate effect, and if there are,
does anyone know the approximate percentage of any population ie the U.S that
are infected by these secondary parasites?
