Ariel,
As long as the parasite can cross the placenta obviously the answer
is yes. I believe that is the major mode of transmission of sylvantic
Trypanosoma cruzi in this country. I can get you in contact with the
researchers on that if you are interested. My impression is that the
placenta is a barrier in many, but not all cases.
