I am new to this newsgroup, and I recently read the postings on
trichinosis. Someone asked about the incidence of trichinosis in the USA.
Trichinosis is a reportable disease in the USA, and the CDC releases
yearly incidence of reportable diseases. In 1993 there were 16 cases of
trichinosis; the reference provided data between 1984 and 1993. The most
cases (129) occurred in 1990. These are just reported cases; the true
incidence is undoubtly much higher.
