Toxoplasmosis

I understand toxoplasmosis is extant in up to 50% of the population
in the UK, albeit asymptomatically. Regrettably, I suffered from this
a few years ago but was quite ill. Does anyone have any information
on this disease and its long term consequences, particularly if not
treated.
