Hello,
I am trying to find information on the 'Golden Nematode'. We are in the
process of designing a waste water treatment plant which will involve
recycling the collected waste water as fertilizer to be used on crops it
was collected form. The area of collection has shown signs of being
contaminated, and therefore so would the collected waters going to the
treatment plant. Apparently conventional water treatment processes
(Chlorination etc.) do not kill the nematode cyst. A temperature of 80 C
must be reached to successfully kill the pathogen. This could prove to be
very costly in the design of a water treatment plant. Does anyone know of
a treatment method (chemical?) which is effective on Golden Nematode
(Globodera Rostochien)?
Thanks, Felix Candela
