fixing crypto to slides

A suggestion:  after air-drying, BRIRFLY heat-fix the slide by passing it
through a flame 2 or 3 times--no more.  Just  couple of quick swipes will
do.  This procedure works very well when staining fecal smears using a
modified acid-fast technique.
