A friend of mine with post-polio syndrome is also suffering from an infestation of blastocystis hominis. This makes it very difficult for her to
eat and her weight has dropped to dangerously low levels. What makes things even trickier is that she has developed severe allergies to
some medications, including the one that her doctor has recommended for the b. hominis.
I know this is an incredible long shot, but if anyone out there has any suggestions about treatment, information resources, current
research, or articles it could make a huge difference in Barbara's life.
