In the Department of Biology at the University of Michigan we offer one
Parasitology course (at least one other is taught in the School of Public
Health). The only course pre-requisite is introductory biology, but the
students are primarily juniors and seniors (3rd and 4th year students in
a 4 year bachelor's program, for you non-Yanks). The course requires 6
hours of class time/week, 3 in lecture, 3 in lab, for which they receive
4 course credits. The emphasis in the course is on biodiversity and
evolution rather than clinical topics.
