Anyone out there in parasite land working on this creature? Took a
snorkel in the Cedar River here in Renton WA and every crayfish had what I
think are Cambarincola (the first intermediate host) hanging onto the
claw.
Ive been thinking of building a thesis around this but am not well versed
in parasitiology...I just have a strong interest especially in the
evolutionary origins of such complex relationships.
Any ideas on applying new science to understand origins and relationships?
Any names of people specifically working on this kidney worm?
Does the presence of the intermediate host annelid demonstrate the
presence of the kidney worm in the local mammals that feed here?
