Jess,
There are a plethora of web pages on Dracunculus. To find them, use a
search engine, such as yahoo! which can be found at the address below
(give me pages of addresses):
http://www.yahoo.co.uk/
Just type in "dracunculus" and hit the search button. Should also be
plenty of links on the ASP web page:
http://www-museum.unl.edu/asp_image/aspjava.html
suggest that you have a look.
There are also plenty of papers on this worm. Many reviews should alse
be featured in ANY parasitology text book or tropical medicine text
book. Check your university's library. Since you are in Britain, your
university should also have access to several online databases. I
suggest that you search them for "dracunculus" or "dracunculiasis."
Here are some examples from the Biosis database:
Scaravilli, F.
Tropical diseases: A historical perspective.
Brain Pathology, v.7, n.1, (1997): 561-567.
BOOK
Hopkins, D R.
Dracunculiasis.
Kiple, K. F. (Ed.). The Cambridge world history of human disease.
xxiv+1176p. Cambridge University Press: Cambridge, England, UK; New
York,
New York, USA. ISBN 0-521-33286-9. 1993. p. 687-689.
