i live in guanajuato, mexico and have had typhoid fever and
several rounds with amoebas, four antibiotic treatments in the
last two months.
i am very concerned about repeatedly taking antibiotics. what
alternatives exist?
diodoquin has been suggested, but 30 years ago when doctors
were searching for what later turned out to be crohn's disease, i had
an allergic reaction to iodine injections. would that mean 30 years
later i should absolutely not try iodine orally?
does having a resected bowel make me more susceptible to these
critters? (i have been told i 'probably' have crohn's, but the diagnosis
post-surgery is questionable, or at least i have no symptoms).
thanks in advance for any info. i am very happy in mexico and don't
want to leave.
