Oil could indeed have effects on both ectoparasites and intestinal
parasites. See many publications by R. A. Khan (Memorial University,
Newfoundland) on the subject. He has even studies winter flounder, as well
as studting parasite faunas after the Exxon Valdez oil spill. Here are just
