FYI:
Lithium drug of choice for bipolar disorder and used in delusional parasitosis, is being used in Europe on Trypanosome cruzi, where it works on a cellular and molecular level.
The benzimidazoles (introduced to kill parasites in farm animals), along with being ingredients in many antipsychotic drugs, are being used in work on lyme vaccines and are know fluke (trematode) killers.
The phenothiazines also were introduced to kill farm animal parasites.
The benzodiazepines are being used as antimalarials.
I guess parasites must get psychotic too.
