It does not look like a parasite to me. I think it is plant material -
similar to the root hairs on the site above. I've read hundreds of O&P's
in my life. The fact that they are different sizes further leads me to
believe it's an artifact of some sort.
If you stain with Lugol's iodine and it is carbohydrate, it should turn
purple. I'm not sure what kind of stain you're showing in your photo. Is
this an iodine prep? The "organism" is purple.
