Dear Ms. Beales:

You may already know this, but there are two people in the
United States who have published extensively on inhibition of clotting
by parasitic organisms. They are Dr. Michael Capello at Yale and Dr.
Peter Hotez at George Washington University. Hope this helps!

I have identified a few different species of parasites that have been
shown to dampen the effect of factor XII in human blood (this is a
clotting factor).

I am not a parasitology expert and am hoping to locate someone who can
speak to this effect.

My specific question is whether or not this dampening effect is species
specific, or if it is theoretically (or actually) a property of all
parasites.

I'm grateful for any assistance.
