No2 BAOBAB TREES: Info needed (wood anatomy/water relations etc.)

Baobab information seems to be sparse in relation to its wood anatomy (that's
my assignment topic) in Sydney, Australia. Therefore, I thought I'd test, for myfirst time, the extent to which this service can provide. Suggestions made
locally recommend I either, choose another tree or I'd have to do the research
myself. :-( Well, my submission date is 9/9/94, I'd have to travel at least
4000 km to get my hands on a specimen and I'd probably need my father's
Husqvarna to get to the heart of the problem! An extention untill the 11th wouldgive me just enough time to do the research, see Kakadu National Park, take
pictures of the croc's and return to Sydney to have my secretary type the reportand put it in the post, NOT ! :-) So if you like to stop the death of a Boab
PLEASE help.

Information I have: The Baobab-Africaa's upside-down tree, G.E. Wickens. Some
measurements on the water relations of baobab trees, M. Fenner. The useful plants of west tropical Africa, J.M. Dalziel. Anatomy of dicots, Metcalf & Chalk.
Forest trees of Aust. D.J. Boland etc. and some other books dealing with wood
structure in general. If you would like to help please email to
gwebb at mihi.une.edu.au
Greg wishes to thank you in advance.
                                    Cheers.
