Course on cyanobacteria needed

My name is Federica Lotti and I'm working at the Centro di Studio dei
Microrganismi Autotrofi of the Italian Research Council (CNR) in Firenze on
the taxonomy of symbiotic cyanobacteria, using molecular approaches like
total DNA fingerprinting and RFLP of rRNA genes.

I have the opportunity to submit an application to the University of
Firenze for a grant to attend a post-lauream specialization course in a
European country. The grant will cover a period up to one year and the
course should deal with a botany related subject. A matter related to some
aspects of the molecular biology and taxonomy of cyanobacteria will fit
best to my interests. Moreover, in the time left free from lessons, I would
be glad to join the local research group making some research on
cyanobacteria.

I need information on the possibility to attend at such a course at a
University or research institution in a European country, starting from
next autumn. The deadline for submission of applications is the beginning
of next April.

Please, reply by e-mail to ventura at csma.fi.cnr.it
or fax at +39 55 330431.

Many thanks for helping a poor young cyanobacteriologist.

Federica Lotti
