rec A like gene in Rhodospirillaceae?

Hello everybody,

  I am a Ph.D. student and interested in the genetic recombination events
in photosynthetic bacteria, especially in photosynthetic non-sulphur
bacteria (eg. R.spaeroides, R.capsulatus and Rps. viridis). I would like to
know whether there is such an E. coli recA like gene in these bacteria. 
Has it been cloned? Where can I get the informations about it (reference)?
