Hi,
I believe everyone in this field photosynthesis) know that the initial charge
separation time at the reaction center is 2.8 ps at room temperature.
However, I find all these measurements are conducted by other bateria,
instead of R. rubrum.
Therefore,
can anyone tell me
1. What is the initial charge separation time, i.e. P* -> B, for R. rubrum ?
2. Is there any theoretical model, from basic physical principal instead of
some ad hoc method, for the initial charge separation ?
2. What are the absorption spectrum, or its max., of R. rubrum ? Inparticular
what is the absorption peak of Pntenna -> P*BH ?
3. How many Bchl does R. rubrum antenna composed of ?
Thanks a lot
