Non-Destructive Coral Health Monitoring Home Page

As part of my Senior Thesis at St. Mary's College of Maryland I have
created the Non-Destructive Coral Health Monitoring Home Page.

My project has very much to do with photosynthesis. I am going to attempt
to examine the relative changes in coral health with a technique which will
measure the intensity of fluorecence produced when symbiotic zooxanthellae
are exposed to UV light. The fluorecence being measured with be of the
direct products of Photosystem II. The amount of zooxanthellae is directly
related to the relative health of the coral symbiont. So I am attempting
to target the photosynthesis process within the zooxanthellae in order to
assess coral health.

Thank you,
chris mattia
