CO-Discoverer of RED DROP in Photosynthesis; and Co-Participant in the
Work that led to the concept that the Minimum quantum requirement of oxygen
evolution is 8-10, not 4, was Dr. Charlton Lewis. Dr.Lewis passed
away March 12, 1996 peacefully in his sleep in his home in
Altadena,California.These papers were published during 1939-1943 when he
and Robert Emerson were both Research Associates at the Carnegie
Institution in Washington at Stanford,CA.
