Cyanobacterial bibliography

Hello Cyanobacteriologist,

This message is to inform you that CyBib v3.0 has been put on-line. This
verison of the bibliography contains over 5300 literature citations to
cyanobacterial research. The files are offered in three formats:
Refer/BibIX, Pro-Cite, and CBE N-Y. The files can be downloaded in three
styles: Mac (sea.hqx), IBM-compatable (.zip), other (.hqx).

It is strongly suggested that you download the full copy of CyBib v3.0 and
not the upgrade. Several thousand small formatting errors and
duplications have been fixed in CyBib v3.0. These changes make the
database cleaner and more readily imported into bibliographic
applications. For PC users, problems with partial carriage returns have
been fixed, making for a much more readable text in simple word processing
programs. The enormous number of changes make the few extra minutes of
download time worthwhile.

For those of you who have a poor Internet connection and have already
downloaded CyBib v2.0, the new 800 references can be obtained separately
as CyBib v2.0 Upgrade. But again, I believe it is more valuable to
download a full copy of CyBib v3.0.

CyBib can be obtained by following the link from Cyanosite:

Additions and corrections for CyBib can be submitted to me for
incoporation in a future version of the database. Cyanosite is not
funded, so donations of old copies of software (SoftWindows, bibliographic
programs) would be very useful. Thanks.

I hope that CyBib is helping to contribute to your research efforts.
Suggestions or comments on ways to improve this service are always
welcome.

Cheers,
Dr. Mark Schneegurt
