Hello again:
My note is in two parts:
(A) Celebration: We will be celebrating America's independence tomorrow on
July 4th. I plan to celebrate it in the great city of Chicago, the city of
"Bulls" and all that. I wish you all a good time tomorrow or whenever your
country's Independence Day is.
(B) Question: I have a question. I am looking for a reference to a
statement by Otto Warburg. It ran something like this: "In a perfect
Nature, the quantum yield is perfect!"; or "Photosynthesis is perfect in a
perfect World" (some such thing). I remember reading it many years ago,
and, my recollection is that it was in an article in SCIENCE (sometimes
between 1944 and 1964).
If anyone out there knows it, please let me have the actual reference.Thanks.
Have a happy July 4th or another day when you celebrate your Independence (
for Indians, it is on August 15th).
