Project I

Project I at Arizona State University is a University-wide research
initiative designed to enhance long-term interdisciplinary research and
education in the rapidly developing field of light-driven biological and
chemical processes and to promote the application of this knowledge to
problems in science and engineering. Basic and applied interdisciplinary
research on light-driven reactions such as photosynthesis holds great
promise and offers broad impact in diverse areas such as the development of
novel light-driven technologies such as molecular devices, molecular scale
photoelectronics, light-dependent catalysts and probes, and light driven
biosystems. Capitalizing on its leading position in photosynthesis and
related fields, Arizona State University is poised to expand and broaden
this area of excellence through Project I.

Industrial Liaison Position: Project I is expected to lead to the
development of extensive collaborations between the basic and applied
sciences and industry. To aid in this process, we are accepting
applications for an administrative professional (industry liaison). The
successful applicant is expected to have academic and/or industrial
experience in a field related to the project as well as 10 years of
experience in developing industry-university collaborations. A Master's
degree in a related field in science or engineering is required. This
position will report to the Director of Research Development at Arizona
State University.
