NOTE FROM A FRIEND OF ITZHAK OHAD:
Last Thursday (September 24, 1998) Itzhak gave a lecture at the Stockholm
University, entitled:"A unique feature of PSII electron flow: useful (forward)
versus damaging(backward). It was about high/low light mechanism with an
introduction to Photosystem II. Next day ( September 25, 1998) in the City
Hall,
Itzhak was promoted (by Bertil Andersson) as Doctor Honoris Causa in a fancy
ceremony in the presence of the Swedish royal family. The ceremony was
followed
by a banquet. Before the lecture Bertil introduced Itzhak. Among other
things, he told
the audience that 15 years ago Paul Boyer was also in Stockholm to be
promoted Doctor
Honoris Causa of the University.
