POST DOC position at Dept for Biochemistry, Lund university, Sweden

A post doctoral position(s) for one to two years is/are immediately open
in a project aimed at developing artificial photosynthesis based on
principles from the water oxidizing complex in Photosystem II. We design
and synthesize supramolecular systems containing a Ru(trisbipyridine)
photosensitizer coupled via redox active ligands to mono or multinuclear
manganese complexes.

The post-doc will be involved in the spectroscopic characterization of
the properties and light driven electron and energy transfer in the
supramolecular systems. The main techniques applied are EPR and optical
spectroscopy and we use laser for the photophysical studies. The
applicant shall be interested in Mn or radical chemistry, EPR
spectroscopy or light driven electron transfer.

The position is financed from the TMR programme Ru-Mn chemistry for
artificial photosynthesis and is only available for citizens from the EU
(non Swedish). The project is part of a multidisciplinary research
project involving many collaborators at three swedish universities. The
position is placed at the Dept for Biochemistry at Lund university in
the south of Sweden in the group led by prof Stenbjorn Styring.
