Dear netters,
I am currently investigating the different available technical possibilities
of getting field measurements of leaf chlorophyll a/b ratios (or eventually
other sun/shade adaptation characteristics related to PS/LHC distributions
that could be assayed in situ).
-Are there satisfactory non-destructive protocols (based for instance on
reflectance, absorbance, fluorescence...) that could be applied directly to
attached leaves?
-If not, could you suggest low-cost portable spectrophotometers (able to work
in tropical conditions) that could achieve the task on solvant extracts.
Any advice or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Laurent Cournac.
