<x-flowed>Dear Photosynthesis researchers and students of photosynthesis;
The address of my web has changed to:
http://www-new.life.uiuc.edu/govindjee
I would like my web page to aid others in educating others in the " Art
and Science
of Photosynthesis".
Several additions/ changes have been recently made:
[1] On the Main page, a new "Search" engine has been added to make it
easier to find stuff.
[2] On the main page, under "Announcements", you can now find:
(a)Pictures from a party on October 14, 1999, held at Urbana.
(b) A teaching program "Photosynthesis and Time" has
been linked here.
(c) Recent Kluwer books on (i) Carotenoids edited by
Frank et al.; (ii)
Physiology and Metabolism, edited by Leegood et al.,
(iii) Concepts in
Photobiology: Photosynthesis and
Photomorphogenesis, edited by Singhal
et al.
have been announced.
(d) Full references to all the "Personal
Perspectives" published in
"Photosynthesis Research", from Clayton to
Krogmann are listed there.
IF you have suggestions for authors for the
"perspectives", please send
their names and E-mail
addresses to me at gov at uiuc.edu.
[3] In the Links page, links are available for Arizona State University
Center; and International Society of Photosynthesis Research (ISPR),
among others. IF you are not a member, [I urge you to join it; it
is a
great Society]; some sites suggested by Dr. Marc Washington are also listed.
[4] Under Teaching Materials page, you will find under
"People" a page on
Nobel laureates related to
photosynthesis; in addition, we have now a link to
"Complete List of All
Nobel Laureates"
Hope you will enjoy some of the stuff there and will write to me with
suggestions to improve the usefulness of my page.
I take this opportunity to tell you that by the end of 2,000,
you should
be in the lookout of a great book "Photosynthesis: Photobiochemistry and
Photobiophysics" written by Bacon Ke. It is expected to be ready to be
submitted to the press (Kluwer) by the end of this summer or early Fall. I
will add it under "Announcements" when this takes place.
I hope you had a good year of 2,000. Belatedly, I wish you all a "Great
Year", whatever is left of it.
