Professor Gerald T. Babcock died peacefully in his sleep on 22 December
2000, at the age of 54. He was a Michigan State University
Distinguished Professor of Chemistry and a world-renowned scientist in
the field of oxygen chemistry. A funeral Liturgy was celebrated on
Thursday, 28 December at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. East Chapel in East
Lansing. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer
