Three highly motivated individuals are sought to conduct internationally
competitive research. Genetic, molecular and biochemical techniques will be
used to dissect chloroplast protein import mechanisms in Arabidopsis
thaliana (Science 282: 100-103). Preference will be given to applicants
with experience of techniques for the biochemical analysis of chloroplast
protein import and/or for conducting Arabidopsis molecular-genetic research.

Research Technician
Grade C £11,533 to £12,931 p.a.
Available for 3 years
Candidates should have a minimum of an ONC/BTEC (or equivalent) in a related
discipline and at least three years relevant experience or a relevant BSc
and some experience. Recent graduates will be considered for appointment as
a Graduate Trainee Technician on an initial salary of £11,187. Suitably
qualified candidates will have the opportunity to register for a PhD.
